This is the replacing model for the long-existing Accent series. The new Hyundai Verna, comes in a 1400c.c. and 1600c.c. for both their Manual & Automatic transmissions. They also comes in options of 4-doors sedans, 5-doors hatchbacks and even 2-doors coupes!!

Tagged to be the best competitor for the KIA Rio, Chevrolet Optra, some even put it alongside the Japs, like the Toyota Vios, Nissan Sunnies and even the thai-assembled Honda City! The new Verna will indefinitely give these other budget sedans a run for their money. It is, in my personal opinion, a much better car than the predecessor; Accent; which has been around for almost 8 years old! A real value-for-money deal.

Since this being my first Verna, I gave my lucky customer the full options - without having to come out much more than a few SG dollars!! Drool-over their spanking, new 16" alloys upgrades. There's still going to be the Cool & Lite Premiums soalrfilm, door-window visors, LCD reverse sensors and not forgetting a full-tank filled with Shell's V-Power! We agreed on 50/50 for the beige leather options, that they wanted (it was a last minute decision, by the way). They're one happy new owner, for sure!

PROTON S'pore will be introducing the new Savvy, a five-door compact hatchback - making its debut in end Feb/March this year and intending to set a new benchmark in the competitive small car market segment here.

The all-new Savvy is powered by a 1.2 litre engine and driven by a five-speed manual transmission, capable of delivering a punch of 74 brake horse power and a maximum speed of 170km/h, making it one of the speediest and most powerful vehicles in its class.

Lotus styling also helped to influence the Savvy's sleek and stylish exterior projecting a young, spirited and energetic car. Lotus styling prevailed through to the interior of the car with its minimalist approach to creating a practical and sporty cabin. One unique and practical feature built into the car is the flat-folding rear seats for larger boot space. The Savvy is also designed to be the small-segment car for PROTON's new generation of vehicles.
